The Starclub tape story

In 1997 it was 35 years ago, that the Beatles appearances were recorded at the "Starclub" in Hamburg.
An additional jubilee is that these recordings were released 20 years ago. In last year's released
Anthology video, there were finally quite long sequenceses of the famous "Red Hot" song.
If you think you know everything about the Starclub tapes, you'll be surprised with this new series
of articles. Although this series will be published in 3 parts in BU, there will be 9 chapters.
Part 1 The introduction. This part will deal with the basic facts and will explain which material was recorded under what circumstances.
Part 2 Is basic information about what kind of material has been recorded.
Part 3 Is the "long and winding road" of some people, and their difficulties to market these tapes.
Part 4 Deals with the deceptions and tricks which have been used to release the recordings.
Part 5 Deals with the first record of the Bellaphon double album, the explanation of the German announcements by the Beatles and a list of the many cuts used for the album.
Part 6 Deals with the second record in the same way and discusses the remaining released recordings.
Part 7 Is a reconstruction of the first set as performed at the Starclub in 1962, compared to the sequences
on the Bellaphon record.
Part 8 Is a reconstruction of the second set, done in the same way as in part 7.
Part 9 Is a reconstruction of the third set, as given in part 7 and what happened with the it latter.
