This is a follow up to the "Hacking Paid For Surf :: Using Firefox!" (which has been removed because it is now outdated". This article now contains COMPLETE HOW-TO HACK the SurfJunky Pay-2-Surf page.
In case you have not yet heard, but Pay for Surf type sites have RETURNED!!
This is good news for those of us who spend UNGODLY amount of time online (yours truely of course) The site I am referring to is SurfJunky.com. This site uses a Framed Browser window to pop-up ads every 30 seconds it will pop that window up and show you an ad. You click off the window and continue surfing..

Now, How-To Make Firefox WORK for us
Turns out that SurfJunky has caught on to our original attempt, and no longer allows the use of firefox. However using some Firefox Hacking Techniques we can fool them into thinking we are using IE.
You will need to download the following Extentions:
UserAgent Switcher
ReloadEvery
Minimizetotray extention
Install all three extentions and then close ALL Firefox windows you may have open. Now Restart Firefox and go to Edit/Preferences/Web Features and click the Advanced button beside Enable JavaScript
uncheck:
Raise or lower windows
Notice the Bling
At this point, if you try to "Earn" you will notice they still hate Firefox, so lets use our UserAgent Switcher Extention.
***WARNING***
Only run this in ONE TAB! Users have been reporting that their money goes DOWN when running it in multiple browsers/tabs/computers!
**Complete the Hack**

Using the MinimizeToTray Extention, you can open this in another window and send it to your tray.. That way you never even see it!
Some Users have reported that they have had good luck using the Reload Every extention in conjunction with all the previous hacks. Try it without first, and if you need it, use it.
Now there is no need to hack Firefox.. A couple hackers have sent in Alternate Methods!
Both of the following are PROOF OF CONCEPT and I (I-Hacked or the creators) take NO RESPONSIBILITY for what anyone does with them.
arem.us Has released BUTANE (goto Software link). This is a IE Alternative that Does everything above for you!
splatz Has released a Firefox wrapper (A local file that you open) that will handle the refreshing for you. You will still need to do the UserAgent Switch mentioned above. Whats also cool about this one is it displays your statistics, updated every refresh!

Firefox Timeout Reload hack:
What You Need:
Firefox 1.0 (getfirefox.com)
Hacked version of toolkit.jar (download here)
Instructions:
1. Open Firefox and browse to the url "about:config" without quotes.
2. Type "browser.xul.error_pages.enabled" into the filter and double click to change the value to true.
3. Close Firefox.
4. Open your C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome directory and rename toolkit.jar to toolkit-backup.jar or something along those lines. Basically just change the name to something else.
5. Copy the toolkit.jar that you downloaded into this folder.
6. Open Firefox.
If you want to test this hack you can browse to csc.calpoly.edu. The real server for the csc department is at www.csc.calpoly.edu. Going to that link will give you a timeout and if running the hack, will enter a loop of trying to reload the page over and over again.
